Refund Policy

At STPprep, we provide digital educational resources designed to help applicants prepare for the NHS Scientist Training Programme (STP) Situational Judgement Test (SJT).

Because our services consist primarily of digital content and immediate access to online preparation materials, we have a specific refund policy that applies to purchases made through our platform. Please read this policy carefully before completing your purchase.

1. Digital Products and Immediate Access

STPprep provides digital products and online educational resources that may be made available to you immediately after purchase.

By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that access to the digital content and services may begin immediately and that you may receive access to the purchased materials shortly after payment is completed.

Due to the nature of our digital products and services, refunds are generally not available once access to purchased digital content has been provided, except where a refund or other remedy is required by applicable law.

2. Refunds for Digital Access

Unless you have a legal right to a refund under applicable consumer protection law, purchases of STPprep digital preparation resources are generally non-refundable once access to the digital content has been provided or the digital service has begun.

This means that you are not ordinarily entitled to a refund simply because you have changed your mind, no longer wish to use the platform, have not used the resources, or decide that the service is not suitable for your personal preferences.

Where you have purchased access to digital content and have begun accessing or using that content, we generally cannot provide a refund solely because you subsequently decide that you do not want the content or do not wish to continue using the platform.

3. No Guarantee of Results

STPprep provides preparation resources for educational and practice purposes only. We do not guarantee that using our platform will result in a particular score, ranking, interview invitation, application outcome, or successful selection for the NHS Scientist Training Programme.

Refunds will not ordinarily be provided because a user does not achieve the result they expected, does not pass an assessment, is not shortlisted, is not selected for a training position, or does not receive the outcome they hoped to achieve.

Your results in any external examination, assessment, recruitment process, or selection procedure are affected by factors outside our control and are not guaranteed by purchasing or using STPprep.

4. Dissatisfaction With the Service

We aim to provide accurate, useful, and high-quality preparation resources. However, individual users may have different expectations, learning preferences, or opinions about the usefulness, difficulty, format, or content of the materials.

A user's personal dissatisfaction with the content, difficulty, structure, presentation, style, or suitability of the preparation resources does not, by itself, create an entitlement to a refund, except where a refund is required by applicable law.

5. Technical Problems and Access Issues

If you experience a genuine technical problem that prevents you from accessing the STPprep service or purchased digital content, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can investigate the issue and attempt to resolve it.

Where a technical issue is caused by our platform and materially prevents you from accessing the digital product you purchased, we may, at our discretion and where appropriate, provide a reasonable remedy such as restoring access, extending your access period, or providing another appropriate solution.

We will not normally provide refunds for technical issues caused by the user's own device, internet connection, browser, software, network, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control, provided that the service itself is operating as intended.

6. Duplicate Purchases

If you accidentally purchase the same product more than once, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where we can reasonably verify that a duplicate transaction has occurred and the additional purchase has not been meaningfully accessed or used, we may consider a refund of the duplicate transaction at our discretion, subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the purchase.

7. Incorrect or Defective Digital Content

If the digital content supplied to you is materially defective, substantially does not match its description, or does not conform to applicable legal requirements, you may have statutory rights and remedies under applicable consumer protection law.

Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to exclude or restrict any statutory rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

If you believe that the digital content you received is defective or materially different from the product described at the time of purchase, please contact us with details of the issue so that we can investigate and determine the appropriate remedy.

8. Access and Account Misuse

Refunds will not ordinarily be provided where access to the STPprep platform has been suspended or terminated because of a user's breach of our Terms & Conditions, including unauthorised account sharing, redistribution of content, copying of materials, abuse of the platform, or other prohibited conduct.

This does not affect any statutory rights you may have under applicable law.

9. Refund Requests

If you believe that you are entitled to a refund or other remedy, please contact us using the details below and provide sufficient information for us to identify your purchase and assess your request.

We may ask for information such as the email address associated with your account, the date of purchase, transaction details, and a description of the issue.

Each request will be considered based on the circumstances of the purchase, the nature of the issue, and any applicable legal rights.

Submitting a refund request does not guarantee that a refund will be issued.

10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you believe that a payment has been made in error or that you have a legitimate issue with a purchase, we encourage you to contact us first so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter.

Where a payment dispute or chargeback is raised, we may provide relevant transaction and account information to the applicable payment provider or financial institution as reasonably necessary to respond to the dispute.

Nothing in this section is intended to restrict or interfere with any rights you may have under applicable law or the rules of your payment provider.

11. Statutory Consumer Rights

This Refund Policy does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Where applicable law gives you a right to a refund, repair, replacement, price reduction, cancellation, or another remedy, those rights remain unaffected by this policy.

Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to exclude, limit, or otherwise restrict any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable law.

12. Changes to This Refund Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business practices, or applicable legal requirements.

Any changes will be published on this page. The version of the policy applicable to your purchase will generally be the version in effect at the time your order was placed, subject to any mandatory legal requirements.
